Pea Pulao

Ingredients

  • Basmati rice – 2 cups
  • Peas – 1/2 cup
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Ghee – 1/4 cup
  • Oil – 1/4 cup
  • Green chillies – 6 nos (finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 10 gms, finely chopped
  • Spices – 2 each
  • Onion – 2 medium pieces
  • Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Cashews, roastesd – 1/4 cup

   
Method

   1. Soak the rice, cook it adding salt and keep aside.
   2. In a kadai, heat ghee and oil.
   3. Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
   4. Then add chopped ginger, green chillies and saute for a minute.
   5. Then add peas and salt.
   6. Put the rice and cook in high heat for 5 to 7 mins.
   7. Garnish with coriander and cashews.
   8. Serve hot with any spicy side dish.
