Indian chaat masala

Chaat masala is very famous in Indian snacks as it enhances the flavour of the dish and is a must have in most of the Indian households. Now-a-days ready made packets of chaat masala are easily available in the market for our convenience. However it can be easily made at home with a few ingredients. This can be stored in a air tight container and used as and when required.

Ingredients for making 250 grams of chaat masala
Cumin seeds (zeera )-100 grams
Coriander powder(pissa hua dhania)-25 gram
Garam masala powder-25 gram
Mango powder( amchoor)- 25 gram
Rock salt ( kala namak)-50-60 gram
common salt(namak)- 15 gram

Method
1.Dry roast cumin seeds on a griddle(tawa) to a golden brown color and powder it after it cools down.
2. Dry roast coriander powder on a griddle(tawa) to a golden brown color and add garam masala and roast lightly.
3. Mix all the above roasted masalas and other ingredients mentioned above to make the
chaat masala.


You can increase the quantity of amchoor powder according to your taste.
